Lanzamiento del BB OS 6 y del BB Torch

Tal como se esperaba, llego el nuevo Blackberry Torch con el sistema operativo Blackberry 6, anunciado el 3 de agosto en NY por RIM y AT&T.

El BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone integra un teclado físico con una pantalla Touch, siguiendo el esquema que se ha generalizado en la mayoría de los smartphones de última generación, si bien el iPhone, varios equipos Windows Phone y algunos Android se apegan sólo a la pantalla touch.

"Fuimos los primeros en lanzar el Blackberry en 199 en EE UU y ahora estamos con RIM en el lanzamiento del BB Torch, que crea un cambio generacional tanto en el hardware como en el sistema operativo" dijo Ralph de la Vega, presidente y CEO de AT&T en Mobility y Consumer Markets.

"Este es uno de los lanzaminetos más significativos en la historia de RIM. El Torch tiene nueva interfaz, un nuevo sistema operativo que entregarán nuevas capacidades a consumidores y usuarios corporativos", dijo Mike Lazaridis, president y co-ce de Research In Motion, RIM.
